Acropolis Institute celebrates Joy of Giving Week with ‘Joy Fest’ on October 10, 2012
‘People must never let the weaknesses and deficiencies deter them from enjoying the life. It is very necessary to work with courage’, this was transpired by chief guest, Social worker Pareen Daji during the ‘Joy Fest’ organized by Acropolis Institute of Technology & Research (AITR), Indore. Saying children are the reflection of God, Daji ji shared her special attachment towards the children. She emphasized on studying so that each and every child could live a better life in society and also fulfill various responsibilities towards it. She also quoted few examples of the people who transformed their difficult situations into success which are now to talk about.
Another guests present during the program, Dr. Arvind Jain, Charter President of Lions Club of Indore, Academician and Social worker, known as ‘Ranjan Sir’ addressing to students said, ‘I am very happy to see today’s youth taking such kind of initiatives. Such initiative portrays energy present in our youth. Through their concepts and energy, I am sure; youth would take our country to another level.’ Lastly, in his address Ranjan Sir made all the students and people present in the program to take an oath for the better building of society.
With the motive of imparting joy and spreading happiness, 100 underprivileged kids from 4 NGO’s namely Shri Yougpurush Dham, Shree Shree Uttakarsh Samiti, Indore Diocese Social Service Society and Government School of Deaf & Dumb were invited to the Institute. On the occasion Acro students brought smiles on the faces of the kids through various performances which included dancing and singing.
Enjoying the spree of cultural programs, kids also showcased their extraordinary talent. Total 18 performances were given during the program which included dancing, mono acting, drawing with a leg, sheershasan etc. by the kids from NGO’s. In attractive performances, Shiv from Yougpurush Dham presented a rare talent of writing from mouth. Poonam made drawing from her legs for which she received tremendous applaud. Further, Arpit performed on famous bollywood songs ‘All is well’ and ‘Go,Go,Go Govinda’, which everyone appreciated. In the middle of these extraordinary performances, fillers were performed by Acropolis students, which made everyone, laugh to extreme. Kids were invited to the institute from the morning to the institute and were facilitated with food and beverages as well. Each and every special child was also gifted with a bag by the institute.
The occasion was marked by the presence of Dr. Sumer Singh (Director, AFMR) and Dr. Mona Nagar (HOD, Pharmacy) who welcomed the guests. Prof. Anupama Modi and students of Acropolis, Lakshya Malhotra and Deepak Kukereja co-ordinated the program. Vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Atul Bharat, Group Director, Career Development Cell, Acropolis Institute.
